Open And Close Schedule
Nate can be an Open or Close backup if given enough time. Contact him for facility emergencies: 303-330-3308 We are generally open from about 7:00 am to 6:00 pm each day, with the exception of Friday, when we close at 5:00 pm. Opening times can be dependent upon weather conditions. Alarms:Security System If you accidentally set off the security system by not entering your code correctly, call Tyco 800-289-2647. You can also find them online if you have your login: https://rs.alarmnet.com/tc2/login If, when entering your code, you press a wrong key, wait about 10 seconds for the pad to start beeping again. You can start your code over to get it right. Fire Alarm The fire alarm is very loud and has strobes around the building to indicate it is time to leave. Evacuate the building and close all doors. If it is not a drill, call 911 to ensure they are on the way. If there is a non-emergency but you have an issue, call: 303-721-0111 to get to Security Central. To call the fire department: 720-258-8911 Warehouse Bell There is what sounds like a school bell in the warehouse, coupled with a humming buzz in the office. This is the doorbell, but it can get stuck on ... especially after a rain. Go outside the building to the left of the main entrance and try pressing the doorbell there. You may also need to dry out the wires inside by using a can of air. Building Access:To assure access to the building by all those needing access, while precluding access to the building to the greatest degree for those that do not need access, the following procedures are to be adhered to by all employees, visitors, and vendors – and anyone that may seek access to our facilities. All doors (people doors) are to remain locked at all times (24 hours a day, every day) except for the front doors on the south side of the building. All doors (people doors and overhead doors in the warehouse) are to be locked between the hours of 6:00 pm to 6:00 am each day, and all day on the weekends, holidays, and non-work days. In particular, the front doors on the south side of the building are to remain locked if only one or two people are in the building at any time, AND if those in the building are not present in the office. (If the only person(s) is in the warehouse, the front doors on the south side of the building should remain locked until office persons are present. The alarm may be turned off upon entry into the building, but the doors will remain locked.) On those occasions where all persons are in the warehouse or off site for a function, such as a company luncheon, and no persons are in the office area (including tenants who may not be a part of our the company function), then the front doors on the south side of the building will be locked while all persons are not in the office, and then unlocked when persons return to the office. If tenants are present during these times, have been notified of the absence of company persons, and are willing to watch the doors, then the doors need not be locked. The doors to the building will be locked by the last person leaving the building. If you are the last person to leave and you do not have a key or code to the building, please call Luke first, and if not available, then call Mark, to help lock and secure the building. Those authorized to open and close the building will follow these steps: To open the doors:
To close and secure the doors:
In case of a false alarm: At any time the alarm sounds unintentionally, do call the alarm security monitoring center and let them know the alarm was a false alarm. You will need to have a password to do this, which should have been given to you when you were given a code to use for the alarm system. If you do not have such a card, please see Milind ASAP and we will secure one for you. Visitors to the building: We have a log in process established for visitors. ALL visitors, even those we know and work with regularly, ARE to sign in on the log sheet, fill out a name tag, indicate the number on the tag, and then wear the tag while in the office/warehouse. When their business is complete and they are to depart, they will log out on the log sheet. Visitors should be escorted to and from their place of work or activity, so they are not wandering in the building unattended. If visitors are to be present all day or over multiple days, they need sign in once and sign out once. They may then be unescorted once they have been introduced to the key players they will be working with. Nonetheless, we ask that all employees be aware of visitors and monitor their presence and actions. Do report any suspicious activity to any supervisor immediately. Threats and Emergencies: In the event anyone becomes aware of a threat to the security of the building, please report the details of the threat to a supervisor immediately. If a threat is an emergency, such as danger to any person in the building, or if the threat is related to theft, breaking in, or similar actions, do call 911 immediately and report the emergency. If possible, then share the emergency with a supervisor. The building security alarm system also has two sets of “panic pads.” One of these pads is in the IT office area on the north side of the south wall. The other pad is in the warehouse on a pole in the scanning area. These pads have two buttons on each pad. To set off the panic alarm, both buttons must be pressed simultaneously. Doing so will trigger a “silent” alarm to the local police department. If there is an immediate danger in the building and an audible alarm would be dangerous or unhelpful to the situation, those with knowledge of the “panic pads” will use them. These are not to be used for health emergencies or injuries, as the appropriate action is to call 911. However, if there is a situation in the building, such as an armed intruder, then these pads are available. NOTE: Building alarm key pads are located at both the main/front entrances on the south side of the building, along the east wall in the shipping area of the warehouse, and along the west wall in the receiving area of the warehouse. |
