Logging into the Admin Control Panel
- Point your browser at http://www.sonlight-forums.com.
- Fill in your User Name, and Password, in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Scroll Down to the very bottom of the page. On the right side of the blue bar running across the bottom of the page, you will see an option for Admin located between the Sonlighter Club Forums option and the Mod option. Select Admin.
- You will be re-directed to the Admin Panel, where the system will prompt you for your password again. Put it in, and you're good to go!
Re-Generating Badges
This is to be done only after updating the ACUM code.
- Obtain User's E-mail Address.
- Obtain User's ID number. Find this by finding the user in the forum admin CP. The ID number is in parenthesis above the Quick User Links menu.
- To update badges manually, visit: https://www.sonlight-forums.com/php/mysonlightbadges.php?email=
- After the equals sign, insert the e-mail address obtained in step one.
- Next, view the badges to be sure that the user has what she qualifies for: https://www.sonlight-forums.com/badges/!.shtml
- Except, delete that exclamation point, and insert the ID number obtained in step two.
VOILA!
Pruning the Used Curriculum for Sale Forum
This is a maintenance job that needs to be done on a daily basis. We delete listings that are at least 37 days old.
- Log into the Admin Control Panel.
- From the menu on the left side, select Threads & Posts. Next, select the sub-category Prune.
- From here, there are only two boxes that you need to worry about. The first, is the one at the top labeled Original post date is at least X days ago. Insert 37 into this field.
- Next, scroll down to the forum option, which is a drop-down menu. Select *Used Sonlight for Sale*.
- Select Prune Threads.
- Next, you will get to choose whether or not you would like to prune selectively. Unless you are searching for a specific post, I would recommend selecting Prune All Threads.
Threads have been teh pruned!
