InquisiCorp Phone System Documentation
Check here for up to date information regarding our phone system
4.25.07 - We now have the ability to determine our outbound Caller ID for each company.
Depending on which company you are calling for, use the following numbers before dialing the phone number.
These numbers determine what the recipient will see on their Caller ID (If they have Caller ID)
9 = Sonlight
7 = Avyx
6 = Ascendo
4 = InquisiCorp
If someone was to place a call for InquisiCorp, they would dial “4” and then the number they wished to call. If the recipient has Caller ID, they will see “InquisiCorp” rather than Sonlight. Or if Customer Service wanted to call back an Ascendo customer they would dial “6” and the customer number. The customer would see “Ascendo” on their Caller ID rather than Sonlight.
12.5.06 - Our receptionist's phone now has the ability to distinguish inbound caller id for all companies.
11.21.06 - Phone system upgrade to 3.2 successful. We have established separate IVRs (auto-attendants) for each active InquisiCorp company. Customer Relations can now distinguish in-bound Caller ID for each company. In other words we now can identify which company the customer is calling. Unfortunately, we found that this is not the case for those with standard user extensions (non Customer Relations). In cooperation with our new phone system support vendor Peak Communications, we are trying to create a way to enable the receptionist (anyone who answers the main lines) to be able to distinguish in-bound Caller ID as well.
We also plan to switch phone service providers in Feb 2007 from CBeyond to XO Communications. In addition to providing local support and tremendous rates, XO will be providing us functionality that will allow us to distinguish our outbound Caller ID between the various companies.
