Important Implementations For The 2009 Season

PRESSING ITEMS

This page is to remind our department of any items needing to be addressed before we churn out IG's this year. Some of more-so typesetting related which are on the "to do list" ...but intros will definitly require writer's input.

  • New introductions need to be placed in ALL Core IG's this year. Amber has done a new introduction that is easy to follow, but we are still awaiting feedback.
  • Colleen has been working on creating new "diagrams" to be placed in intros for our study guides. (Hist, read-aloud, and reader) New content still needs to be written. There needs to be a final decision on these before December to ensure these will be ready for pre-pressing and global use documents can be created.
  • New "How to Organize Your Schedule Page" This is being worked on by Dave since he is re-designing our binders. This new look is still to be determined. He will be working with Judy to get more information.

Items to organize:

Product Development Training Guide---still in the works. I (Colleen) add to this when I can spare some time, but when I do not, I print out the relevant info and stick it in the binder so I can add to it.

Global Additions--our files for this folder are a mess and will require alot of re-linking when we (I) get around to organizing it. Unfortunatly I haven't had time to do this but after pre-pressing season, I think this would be a good thing to "clean up"

Re-design guide: A page describing all of our re-design elements this year is being created. This will happen once our diagrams are completed on the study guide pages. Colleen will send out new descriptions to Judy, our marketing dept and cust. fullfilment to inform them.

There are likely other items to re-structure, if you think of any, please add on to the list.
